Sliding doors or hinged doors: which suits your room?

Both door types can be part of a well-planned wardrobe. Which is more practical for you depends on the room and how you use your wardrobe.
Sliding doors when there is little space in front of the wardrobe
Sliding doors move sideways. They do not require a swing area in front of the furniture. That can help if a bed or a chest of drawers is opposite. The door panels overlap; not all compartments are accessible at the same time. Therefore plan the interior layout so that frequently used clothing remains easy to reach.
Hinged doors for an unobstructed overview
Hinged doors swing outwards. With sufficient space you can open several sections at once. Make sure that handles, bedside tables or other furniture do not block the door’s path. A drawer must also be able to be pulled out completely.
Choose the front design separately
A mirror, a wood finish or a calm plain colour changes the look of the wardrobe. The available finishes vary by model. Rely on the options of the respective product when choosing and check colours where possible using a material sample.
Compare before ordering
Mark the wardrobe on the floor and imagine opening it daily. Then compare two suitable models in the configurator with the same external dimensions. This way you assess not only the front but also the storage space and access to the compartments.
